Speedball is a relatively new sport and is constantly undergoing changes. This constant evolution to the rules and the game is also causing products and equipment to change too.
One of the big changes to equipment is paintball guns. I am not going to go too far into the past however look at an Ego from lets say 2008. It was a very small gun without much room for your hands. Now lets look an an LV1. The gun is much longer that the Ego from 2008.
Most people don\'t believe guns would actually get longer, when in fact they are. Having a longer paintball gun make it easier to snap shoot, lane someone off the break, load and shoot, running and shooting and a bunch of others. As paintball continues to push the limits you will see more and more changes when it comes to equipment.
Remember to understand why equipment is changing and if it is going to benefit how you play in any way. If it doesn\'t benefit you then it might be time to upgrade.
If you have any questions or comments about paintball gun changes, please drop me a line and I would be happy to answer.
